The Best Butch Gym Workouts
For the gym-going butch, there are a few key workouts that will help you build muscle and get strong. These exercises target the major muscle groups in your arms, chest, and legs, and can be done with free weights or weight machines.
1. The Bench Press: This exercise works your chest muscles and is a great way to build upper body strength. Start by lying on a flat bench with your feet flat on the ground. Grab a barbell with an overhand grip (palms facing down) and hold it above your chest. Lower the barbell down to your chest, then press it back up to the starting position. Repeat for 8-12 reps.
2. The Bent-Over Row: This exercise works your back muscles and is another great way to build upper body strength. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart and Bend forward at the hips until your torso is parallel to the ground (keep your back straight!). Grab a dumbbell in each hand and let them hang at arm’s length below your shoulders. Bend your elbows and pull the dumbbells up to the sides of your torso, then lower them back down to the starting position. Repeat for 8-12 reps
The Worst Butch Gym Workouts
There’s nothing quite like hitting the gym after a long day at work. You’re pumped, you’re ready to go, and then you see someone doing something so incredibly butch that it makes you want to leave immediately.
We’ve all been there. You know what I’m talking about – those people who are just way too into their workout, grunting and sweating and making everyone around them feel uncomfortable. They’re the ones who spend hours on the elliptical or treadmill without ever breaking a sweat. They lift weights so heavy that they shake the entire machine. And don’t even get me started on the guys who wear tank tops two sizes too small.
Don’t be that person. Nobody likes that person. If you’re going to hit the gym, do it right – with a few simple tips in mind:
1) Leave your ego at home: There’s no need to show off how much weight you can lift or how fast you can run. We’re all here to get a good workout in, not to impress anyone else. So focus on your own workout and leave everyone else out of it.
2) Respect personal space: This one is especially important in crowded gyms. It’s fine to be close to someone while you’re working out, but there’s no need to invade their personal space or make them feel uncomfortable. Keep your distance and respect other people’s space as well as your own.
3) Be aware of your surroundings: This goes hand-in-hand with respecting personal space, but it’s also important to be aware of your surroundings in general. Pay attention to where you are and what’s going on around you so you don’t accidentally bump into someone or drop a weight on somebody’s foot (trust me, this happens more often than you’d think).
4) Put away your phone: We all love our phones, but they can be a major distraction when we’re trying to work out. So put them away and focus on your workout instead of scrolling through Instagram or checking Facebook notifications . . . unless, of course, you’re using them for music or some other type of motivation (in which case, please use headphones!). 5) Don’t hog the equipment: There’s nothing worse than getting ready to use a piece of equipment only to have someone else swoop in and start using it before you even have a chance . Unless they’re clearly finishing up their last set , let people use the equipment before moving onto something else yourself (and if possible , tryto find an alternative piece of equipment that won’t interfere with others ). 6 ) Wipe down the equipment whenyou’ re done : This one should be obvious , but alas , it needsto be said : Please wipe downthe equipmentsweaty self ! Nobody wants tomoveonto abenchthat ‘s still soaking wet fromyour last set . Bring alonga toweland takea quick sec towipe thingsdownwhenyou’ re finishedsothe next personcan enjoya cleanworkout experience as well . 7 ) Don’ tbe afraidto askfor help : Thegymisn ‘t exactlya friendly place for newcomers , soifyou needhelp figuringout howto usethe Smithmachineor whichweights togetstartedwith , don ‘t bes afraidto askoneof theeither trainersor more experiencedliftersfor help ! The Butch Gym Lifestyle
For the butch woman who loves to stay in shape, the gym is the perfect place to get her workout on. But it’s not just about working up a sweat – the gym can also be a great place to socialize and meet new people.
Butch women tend to be attracted to more masculine-looking women, so the gym is often seen as a safe space for them to explore their sexuality. While some butch women may dress down or even avoid makeup altogether when working out, others see the gym as an opportunity to strut their stuff and show off their feminine side.
Whatever your style, there’s no doubt that the gym can be a great place for butch women to express themselves. So next time you’re feeling motivated to hit the weights, remember that you might just find your perfect match at the gym!
The Butch Gym Community

We believe that fitness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender identity or expression. That’s why we offer a variety of strength-training and cardio classes designed specifically for butch women.
Butch women are often underrepresented in the mainstream fitness world, which is why we created this community. We want to show the world that butch women can be strong, powerful, and fit.
If you’re looking for a supportive and inclusive community of butch women who love to sweat, come join us at The Butch Gym!
The Future of the Butch Gym
There’s no doubt about it, the butch gym is here to stay. For years, this type of gym has been a staple in the LGBTQ community, providing a safe and welcoming space for queer men to work out and socialize. But as society becomes more accepting of different genders and sexualities, the need for specifically gay-friendly spaces like the butch gym is diminishing. So what does the future hold for these establishments?
As traditional gender roles become less rigid, we expect to see more gyms that cater to all types of people, regardless of their gender identity or sexuality. However, there will always be a need for safe spaces where queer men can feel comfortable working out without judgement or harassment. The butch gym will continue to be an important part of the LGBTQ community for years to come.
